Crossed from applied mathematics into bioinformatics and molecular biology — studying the F876L point mutation that flips the prostate-cancer drug enzalutamide from inhibitor to agonist.

  • One-microsecond molecular dynamics simulations — stepping the forces on tens of thousands of atoms through time.
  • The work became an abstract in the Biophysical Journal (2020).
  • Established the "don't just fit the curve — model the mechanism" discipline I still use.
